Druggie?

After work, I go to the park to meet and pick up Rama. She was enjoying a cup of raspberry-flavored ice cone. She promptly offered me a taste.

Mommy, have some! It's yummy! Tastes like medicine!

Hi, bexie. I've always had an easy time giving her meds, whenever she needed them. Even the most vile-tasting syrups would go down easy - no need for cajoling/pleading/threatening. She always seems to enjoy medicines. :-) Glad to brighten your day!

That sounds like me! For some odd reason, do not ask me why, I have always enjoyed anything that tasted like Robitussin.

Buti na lang it doesn't show up in my cooking...

Hello, buffy! Yes, one of the perks of being a mom of kids this age would be the entertainment, no? Hug your little one for me, too.

Hey, knitty. Are your parents to blame for your pharma-flavor fetish? :-) Props to them!

You know, I got an email from an old college friend, Stella, who is now living in Boston. We've been out of touch for years till she discovered my blog – through yours and Socky's! How about that! You don't know her but she's been regularly reading your cute stories about Rama. :-)

Hello, ris. Thanks for dropping a note. Yes, we do have our moments. This age, 5ish, makes for great comedy - any mom will tell you that! Cheers!

I can relate to Rama, as always. Hehe! And also to knittymommy when she talked about Rubitussin. A restaurant near our office offers red iced tea which tastes like Rubitussin. So when I'm ordering, I just say, "Ate, isang rubitussin po." And she immediately gets what I mean. Hehe.

Hi, Nicely. Cough syrup naman kasi ang orderin - haha. Hindi pa nakakabasa si Rama. Short words pa lang, like simple names on name tags. Di ba salespeople in stores wear their names. Gulat ako minsan, at Home Depot, bigla niyang sinabi sa akin - "His name is Amir." Yun, na-confirm ko na nakakabasa na pala siya.
